Eddie Schwartz

Chief Security Officer

Eddie Schwartz is Galaxy’s Chief Security Officer (CSO) responsible for the strategy and day-to-day direction of the firm’s global cyber and physical security, cloud, infrastructure, and IT programs and services. His impressive security career spans 30 years. Most recently, he served as the first CSO of Block.one, where he led security, IT and cloud infrastructure programs spanning the EOSIO blockchain protocol, Voice.com, and Bullish.com projects. He has held numerous executive leadership positions, and previously worked for the U.S. Government overseas for many years. Eddie serves on the Board of Directors of the BitGo NY Trust Co. and has served on the Board of Advisors for multiple security start-ups. He earned a BS in Information Security Management and an MS in Information Technology Management from George Mason University School of Management, and is the recipient of numerous awards including Computerworld’s Premier 100 IT Leaders Award.
