At only 32 years old, former Tennessee Titans linebacker Derrick Morgan has already accomplished a lot. Derrick played for nine years in the NFL after playing college ball at Georgia Tech. During his rookie year, an injury pushed Derrick to start thinking long-term about life after football, having more control and understanding over his finances. He started doing some soul searching. After retiring from the NFL in 2019, Derrick turned his focus to real estate and ethical investing. He launched the KNGDM Impact Fund, a 200-million dollar opportunity zone fund that focuses on bringing wealth and economic mobility to marginalized, lower-income communities in hopes of closing our nation's wealth gap. He's also become a vocal advocate for medical cannabis and the benefits it can offer former pro athletes who are struggling with pain management after years of injuries. Derrick joined me on Next with Novo to talk about his charity work, his experiences with racism and inequality in America, and his new podcast coming soon to Clubhouse.
