Margot Valenzuela leads Portfolio Talent at Galaxy Ventures, overseeing the Talent program to source and recruit talent for portfolio companies while advising founders on talent strategies that help build effective teams and navigate growth challenges. With deep experience in high-growth technology environments, she partners closely with startups to help them think strategically about hiring, team design, and scaling. Prior to Galaxy, she spent five years in recruiting at Robinhood building teams across crypto, engineering, product, AI, derivatives, and international expansion supporting the kinds of high-growth, high-stakes hiring challenges many founders face today. Earlier in her career, she helped scale engineering teams at CloudKitchens and Uber, working with Travis Kalanick gaining firsthand experience in what it takes to build talent infrastructure across multiple stages of a startup’s growth.
