The Environmental Laboratory addresses the environmental concerns of the minerals and mining industries, from production and processing through to treatment and safe disposal of the waste materials, and decommissioning of closed plants and mines. Research focuses on three major areas: Mining Effluents; Tailings and Waste Rock; and Metals and the Environment.
