The Armenian Relief Society (ARS) is an NGO on the roster in consultative status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations. The ARS was founded in 1910 in New York City, USA, as an independent, non-governmental and non-sectarian grassroots organization, serving the humanitarian needs of the Armenian people everywhere, and seeking to preserve the cultural heritage and identity of the Armenian nation.
