We thought it timely to create a new scientific society which will focus on the mechanisms of specific effects of nutrients and drugs in chronic diseases, their possible interactions as well as the mechanism of their protective or therapeutic action. Besides highlightning of these mechanisms, the objective of the society is to contribute to the elaboration of guidelines for optimization of the dietary prevention of diseases and the dietary optimization of each therapeutic drug approach.
