I have just revised the proof by J. Constant (available on http://www.coolissues.com/mathematics/Fermat/fermat.htm) and I found an error. The error is in fact primary in the sense of mathematical analysis, as the author treats the fraction |Rn| = p/q as a fixed number, which is not true since both "p" and "q", in general, change with "n".
Note also that my comment disproves his new theorem on the irrationality of a number based upon a given series.

Sincerely,

Dr. F. M. S. Lima
