Aslam Merchant - 04/21/09 23:04:42 - 86.96.226.88Me and wife traveled for couple hours to visit shrine at ajmer for just one hour carrying the only cabin size luggage of branded manufacturer with which I have traveled with best airlines of the world and never stopped. The flight carried more than 95% of construction labour force. The staff a young gentlemen on duty wearing BLAZER with SPECTACLE without name whose approach was disgusting never seen in my airline travels. In my opinion the labour force was paying fare at par with the other airlines and not travelling on AIR INDIAS CHARITY. This gentlemen stopped me while boarding the bus in a very rude manner for more than internationally approved cabin bag with just one pair of cotton kurta pyjama in small bag which i carry for my days trip including this one.I reprimended for his behaviuor and i also offered my self to get offloaded if the cabin luggage was not within the permissible limits and then he relented to board the bus.As an Indian we feel disgusted of these events the way our citizens are being treated.The poor labour on whose mercy air india survives on this sector and who do not know their rights.I travelled because of emergency as this was the only flt available at that time making a vow never to travel again by Air India by choice.I had read such instances in media to experience the incident my self.Further one of air hostess on the same flight shouting FAST FAST WHISKEY PIO while serving liqiour to poor labours. THREE CHEERS FOR YOUR SERVICE AND KEEP ON TOLERATING SUCH TILL AWAKENING.I Could not take the name of the baggage supervisor at the gate.One other staff with BALD HEADED remarked about that staff THAT HE IS CRAZY AND DO NOT WANTS TO GET INVOLVED. I returned by evening from Jaipur by the same Air India flight - A WORTHY BUT A NASTY EXPERIENCE.I donât know what you will be going to doing with this complaint / suggestion that you have put on your site?????????

Having many india friends and working hard for every dime i make and looking forward to my few life time international air travels was disgusted by Air India. My luggage on the return flight from Banglore and Putaparti (India) - my luggage was soaking wet as I had to collect it and go through customs in France to get on the next flight to the USA. I showed my baggage to the air india rep who filled out a report , gave me a claim number and told me to take everything to the dry cleaners and then fax that to the fax number she gave me and she told me they would pay for everything. After many calls and one time a real person answered and confirmed my claim number and recept of the fax stated the claim had been sent to upper management. Well that was 6 months ago and no response or answers to my new phone calls. Now to remind you my luggage was soaking wet - I mean dripping wet - how does that happen at an airport - did it get dumped in the ocean? My claim is much more than the standard amount that is allowed for an insurance claim - I mean the dry cleaning and then the lost saris and such due to nothing was able to be restored as you might imagine some sari's and indian clothes do not go into water well without the dye spreading.
Where is Air Inida - Why have you not obeyed the Law of American - I bought my ticket in the USA and gave you my buisness and you have agreed to the policy and procedures of lost and damaged luggage so to be able to do buisness in America- Do you think I will just go away if you ignore me? I want my money spent on dry cleaning like your rep told me and also the cost of my articles. I will continue to print and speak out and hopefully others will listen then maybe if you don't obey the law will not be able to do buisness in the USA and collect our hard earned money.
This could have been so quickly settled but your corporation my mishandleing me and my claim are forcing me to do what all Americans do when buisnesses try to cheat us - speak up so no one else gets hurt and this could mean you go out of buisness like so many companies have in the world. Where is your integrity? Even your own native blood persons says these comments about your company i.e. lost luggage or damaged - not good service - nasty facilities, etc - Where is your national pride?
my phone is 972 965 2593 and my claim number is #10710 July - Aug 2008 dallas to baglore and baglore to dallas flight ( could have been from new wark new jersery to baglore and baglore to new ward new jersery but I booked with a travel agent the entire trip with air india). settle this claim so i don't have to move to the next level of action.
just so you know your sewardest never smile and when i awoke meals were past and i asked for chi and she frowned and i have to ask several times for a cup of chi, also who cleans the bathroom - nasty nasty, lastly the person seating behind me was coughing so much the entire trip then when i got home for 4 months and 3 different meds later I finally was cured of whatever i caugh on your flight.
I looked so forward to doing buisness with india air and visting india - i was and still am very disappointed with you.
What a shame for India at large that such an exposed compamy bearing India
name to be behaving like this. I don't know what you thing about american capitalism but you better recheck what you think - word of mouth goes a long ways here and eventually many unworthy in fact all unworthy companies eventually fail and it is consumers like me that make that happen.
