Joe Patient - 10/29/08 04:28:27 - 67.100.152.98Atlantic Anesthesia Inc. of Virginia Beach, VA. Does not participate with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Virginia, or United Health Care. They are the contracted Anesthesia providers for Sentara Hospitals of Tidewater. They charge nearly double the excepted rate used by the insurance providers, thereby sticking the patient with huge out of pocket and in my case, unexpected expenses. Sentara Hospitals list their excepted insurance providers, your personal doctor will tell you which providers are excepted, but not Atlantic, no where on their website is that information available. If you have a choice I would suggest you use a facility, other than Sentara, that does not use Atlantic Aneshesia Inc.....Patients Beware...

My very best friend used Atlantic Anesthia in September in Virginia Beach, VA. When she showed me the bill for them I was absolutely floored! People this place is a big time LEGAL MEDICAL SCAM!!! If you are in the hospital please try and have someone there with you if you cannot speak for yourself and let them know that YOU DO NOT WANT TO USE ATLANTIC ANESTHESIA EVER.....I am just finding this out from my friend because I have been out of town on buisness. She is stressed out because she has a child and cannot afford insurance and they are hounding her for almost 2400 dollars. Kris has so many responsibilties that she cannot even keep up with the calls that are coming in. Poor Anita. Oh, yes, I have listened to my friend talk about this. It's outrageous. Just avoid all of your troubles and DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE.
