University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill Department of Epidemiology, School of Public Health
The Department of Epidemiology prepares students to conduct research and to teach. Research training is offered in a number of specialized areas, including chronic diseases, infectious diseases, environmental/occupational exposures, reproductive issues, and health care. Since its establishment in 1955, the Department of Epidemiology at the University of North Carolina has become a leading international center for epidemiologic research.
