8/5/02 Well, well, we had a tropical storm for yesterday evening, almost out of nowhere! Bertha formed pretty close to shore yesterday around 6 p.m. and made landfall this morning on the Mississippi coastline. Bertha was a marginal tropical storm, and weakened quickly once she hit land. The only damage reported was minor flooding. We've got T.D. #3 out there right now...looks like this season ...
