General Info about Kilauea: Pu`u `O`o is the name of the present, on-going eruption of Kilauea. Pu`u `O`o Links: Halemaumau Crater at Kilauea's summit. Kilauea volcano, on the south side of the Island of Hawaii, is one of the most active on Earth. It sits on the southeasten side of the Big Island of Hawaii, resting on the flanks of it's larger neighbor volcano Manua Loa (see map at right).
