Nyos: a natural disaster (gas outburst, explosion of CO2) occurred in lakes Nyos and lake Monoun in Cameroon, West Africa. A controlled degassing plan is scheduled for the mitigation of this new natural hazards at lake Nyos (casualties asphyxia by carbon dioxide).
