Julian Lopez (El Juli) Julian Lopez was born in Madrid. As a present for his 9th birthday, he was permitted to enroll in Madrid's prestigious Escuela Taurina. In short order, Julian was recognized as having a remarkable, natural talent. At the age of 10 he killed his first becerro in Villa Muelas, Toledo, his Mother's birthplace. At 12 he debuted in a traje de luces in Mont de Marsan, France.
