Adjuvant chemotherapy is the use of drugs as additional treatment for patients with cancers that are thought to have spread outside their original sites. This type of treatment has been very successful in changing the behaviour of certain cancers such as breast cancer, testicular cancer, ovarian cancer, just to name a few.
