Justice Dept. Opens Inquiry into AOL Time Warner Update: AOL Time Warner confirmed Wednesday that the Justice Department is investigating the accounting practices of its online division. Neither the media giant nor the Justice Dept. would specify which practices were under scrutiny, or whether the inquiry was a civil or criminal. AOL Time Warner officials said the company will cooperate fully.
