E-MAIL SECURITY PROTECTION
Last updated: Monday, November 20, 2006
Security protecting your e-mail address means that we do not publish your actual e-mail address, but rather, we publish a scrambled version.
Why do we scramble your e-mail address?
- To protect the privacy of your e-mail from spammers.
- To prevent third party e-mail harvesting of Galaxy Classified listings.
- Once your listing is inactivated, the scrambled e-mail is deactivated. So you won't receive unnecessary e-mails after your listing has expired.
How does the e-mail scrambler work?
- Upon submitting your listing to the Galaxy Classifieds, a unique, scrambled version of your e-mail address is generated.
- The scrambled e-mail address will be accessible to visitors who view your listing.
- If a visitor wishes to e-mail you, the e-mail will first be sent through the Galaxy Classified system to relay the message to your correct e-mail address.
- After inactivating your listing, the Galaxy Classified system will no longer relay messages to your correct e-mail address.
